For Assignment 21 you will be applying some of the things that you have learned so far.

Your assignment is to collect some data and to analyze it.

You can decide yourself what kind of data to collect and what the best way is to analyze and draw conclusions from it.  But there are some limitations:

What kind of data?  You can measure anything or you can get the data from any source -- except that you can not ask questions of any people who are not in your class.

How much data?  You must take at least 12 measurements -- unless the kind of analyses you do require more, such as might a Chi-Squared test.

What kind of analysis?  Any two kinds of analyses that we have covered in the course so far -- except that you can chose at most one kind of analysis from Assignments 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 and none from Assignments 0, 1 or 2.

What will the format of your product look like?  A written paper (using a word processor) and using MS-Excel for any charts, graphs, or other data presentation.  Include a copy of all the individual measurements you took before you started the analyses.  (Print copies of any Excel pages or incorporate them into the word processor document; if you use Excel include the Excel disk file.)

What will the content your product look like?  Four things: 1) A description of the data you collected -- what is it and where did it come from.  2) Why you chose the analyses that you used -- that is, why is that analysis appropriate for that particular data.  3) A presentation of the data and of the analysis.  4) Conclusions drawn from the analysis -- what did the analysis tell you.

When is this due?  On whatever day and time the Final Exam for this course is scheduled by the Registrar.

What if you can't think of anything to measure?  Are you sure that you tried?  You know, creativity is essential for success in business.  Okay then, make up some questions about why and where people travel to -- and ask the questions of your classmates.

Is help available?  Your instructor intends to be available in the class periods for which Assignment 21 is scheduled.

Is this an easy assignment?  Sure, if you've been paying attention.  But don't just dump some trash into it.

Anything else?  Yes.  This is not one of the assignments that you can drop.
